Walmart shoppers will be required to wear a mask

Do you live in the U.S.? Do you plan on visiting a Walmart store next week for a round of shopping? If so, prepare yourself to sport a mask before entering the store.

In an effort to prioritize the health and safety of associates, members and customers, Walmart’s Chief Operating Officers Dacona Smith (Walmart U.S.) and Lance de la Rosa (Sam’s Clubs) announced on Wednesday that shoppers entering Walmart stores will be required to wear a mask beginning Monday, July 20.

Those who choose to walk in without any face covering will be greeted by Walmart’s specially trained “Health Ambassadors” who will try to “find a solution.”

Let’s just hope that a shouting match or an arrest is not one of them.

“We know some people have differing opinions on this topic. We also recognize the role we can play to help protect the health and well-being of the communities we serve by following the evolving guidance of health officials like the CDC,” said the statement.

The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), which is a federal agency in the Department of Health and Human Services, believes that face coverings along with social distancing can help decrease the spread of COVID-19.

In addition to the masks, Walmart will include a single entrance at all stores “to help ensure consistency with this new process.”

Walmart’s executives explained that these new measures are a necessary response to the increased number confirmed coronavirus cases across America.

“Currently about 65 percent of our more than 5,000 stores and clubs are located in areas where there is some form of government mandate on face coverings,” they pointed out.

Other retail giants who announced mask-wearing mandates include Kroger, Kohl’s, Best Buy, and  Starbucks.

With regards to the effectiveness of wearing masks to prevent the spread and infections of COVID-19, there is no consistent general consensus among so-called experts.

The incompetent Dr. Anthony Fauci himself seems to be clueless.

Back in March, the man who’s been the country’s Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases since 1984, had stated on 60 minutes that “right now in the United States, people should not be walking around with masks.”

Fast forward a couple of months later, and Fauci is warning us that Americans who don’t wear masks may “propagate the further spread of infection.”

Not surprisingly, the left-wing “fact checkers” and news outlets jump to defend Fauci by claiming that his initial dismissals of wearing masks were “taken out of context” by using “old footage.”

But evidence and reality suggests otherwise.
